I’m considering learning Fusion 360 because I need something for my 3d printer. I chose Fusion because it is nearly free and is parametric (which seems cool).
However, I’m very enamoured with CC and worried that I will lose some nuances. Will Fusion 360 handle bitzero and bitsetter? I’m possibly getting confused here between what Carbide Create does and what Carbide Motion does. Maybe the latter inserts those commands regardless of the gcode?
Thanks for the tip William, I hadn’t considered that. I suppose one would use Bitzero twice, once at the bottom just for Z and on the surface just for XY
I have a SPro5 with a 65mm VFD spindle and a Bitsetter.
CAM work - I use Fusion for all 3D projects. I use CC for simpler 2D projects.
In Fusion if you do NOT want the Bitsetter to be check, select Manual Tool change for that tool.
Fusion was $565 for a year ( $1.55 per day).
I like a mesh model versus an image based model for accuracy.
I use Onshape ( free account ) for most 3D design work.
I use Fusion for 3D mesh imports.
I use Inkscape for 2D SVG arrangements that I import into CC.
