Getting my machine to start carving

I am a true, naive newbie. Downloaded Carbide Create 623 v-6 today. Was easy to design what I want and I think I did everything right but how do I get the stupid machine to start. I meant the operator is stupid.

On the cc you set an origin. Most commonly the left front corner. Zero x y and z at your origin. Load the file and hit start. You have to hit start again. On first or second project keep your finger on off button in case things dont go as planned.

First off, welcome to group!!

I think you need to add some more details. What did you do in CC? Did you export gcode files and cannot get Carbide Motion to work? and so on . . .
Also knowing what machine you have could help…

Welcome to the family George!

I am assuming you have created the toolpath and saved the Gcode. Yes?
Do you have Carbide Motion? This is the software to start your machine using Gcode.

I guess another question would be do you have a Shapeoko machine?

Sounds like https://my.carbide3d.com/ could be useful ? They have some good info there to get started.
