Green Menu Bar at the top of the program

I noticed that in all the videos I watch everyone has a green menu bar at the top of the program. I don’t have that on my program. There was an old post about this that suggested dpi settings and video card issues. I don’t think I want to hack up my video settings but I would like to see the menu bar.

Older versions of the program (Carbide Create) had a green menu bar. More recent versions don’t. For example, version 514 looks like this on windows:

The functionality from the green menu bar has moved to the main menus.

As @Gerry notes, newer versions use a more standard toolkit.

I’d suggest updating to 520 though — the new auto-tracing feature is amazing.

Carbide Create - Image Tracing

We just posted CC 520 to: https://carbide3d.com/carbidecreate/download/ 520 includes a big new feature for us, Image Tracing. [image] You should be able to load a JPG or PNG and get a reasonable set of curves from it very quickly. A few caveats: Right now, it’s mono only so color images will be converted to black and white using the thresholds in the window. We’re not optimizing for very small images so some will work well, others won’t. We’d recommend images larger than 500px on a side …
