Hello World tutorial issue

Hi guys. I am new in machining. I’ve wanted to try Hello World Tutorial, but … When I start the job, the software asks me to change a tool. I use Sharpie so I don’t need to change a tool. But when I click “Resume” the machine is going to the “Bit sitter” to check the length of the tool. Sharpie isn’t in the center of the router, so it’s impossible to touch the Bit sitter.

This is from the tutorial:

  1. Click the START button
  2. You will be prompted to make sure the correct tool is inserted.
  3. In this case we are using a sharpie - so make sure the cap is off
  4. Click Continue
The job will begin running, and take about 1 minute to complete.

How to jump over this step (setting a z-position by Bit sitter) if I haven’t changed the tool? Thanks for any advice.

Cheers
Martin

Disable the bitsetter in the settings

Hi Martin, just go into settings in CM and disable the setting then you are all good to go.

Thank you very much, guys. I thought to disable the Bit sitter, but I wasn’t sure if it’ll work. I am going to try it.
