Help - Design assistance

Im trying to find a way to do two things with this badge:

1. Make a 3D type rendering in maybe 3/4 in or 1 in thick wood.
2. A larger cutout type with thinner maybe 1/4 in plywood or other similar.
   Can anyone help me?

It should work to open the PDF in Inkscape, adjust as necessary, then re-save as an SVG which can then be imported into Carbide Create, c.f.,

Converting/fixing line art (clipart) for cutting
