How do I kill static and my acrylic projects

I’ve been cutting acrylic sheets lately and I have a slight issue with the static after I finish my project. I can literally walk across the room and my project will collect every speck of dust in the room. I tried wiping it down with a dryer sheet inside a microfiber cloth to get rid of it but nodda. I tried anti static spray on the acrylic but that didn’t work either. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to kill static on a finished project?

Like @jtclose wrote, get a humidifier and a hygrometer and get the humidity in your shop above 50% and a lot of the static issues will go away.

Humidifier definitely solved my issue, 55% for my environment. You may want to also get a thermometer that shows your current humidity as I don’t carve until I have the correct levels, relatively pretty cheap on Amazon.

Ok great idea. Sometimes the simplest answer can get by me. I Sometimes over think things. Thanks all. I’ll invest in a humidifier asap.

To solve my static issues, I changed my vacuum hose to this one from Amazon and added grounding wires as described in this post:
Grounding your Shapeoko - CNC Machines / Shapeoko - Carbide 3D Community Site

These steps have solved my static issues.
