How to make Brass mold to be used on high frequency machine

I nee d to make a brass mold to be used on High frequency machine to cut TPU material thickness 0.5 the text to be molded is SKECHOR font size 40
anybody can help me step by step with parameters

We will be able to help you with this if you are using Carbide Create or a Carbide 3D machine — upload the file you are working on and we will look into this with you.

Hi William
I need to make Brass mold text SKECHOR width 65mm height 15mm it will be used to press on High Frequency machine to cut out TPU material thickness 0.5mm
the text should be raised 2.5-3mm and inside text should have 0.3-0.7 mm depth to shape beveled edge for clean cutting attached some molds just for reference

Please upload the .c2d file which you are having difficulty with and we will look into this with you.

i have not made the file yet i am new to carbide, but i can make it i will send it to you in few hours
I appreciate your help
Zack

Hi William

I want this text to be machined on Brass, the text will be raised 3mm,inside the text depth 0.7mm, should have a wall of 0.5mm that will make beveled edge for cutting

this photo just for reference only.

Thanks
Zack

For a beveled edge, you will either need to use a V tool with a suitable angle (do you have a source for one suited to cutting brass), or you will need to use a 3D CAD/CAM program such as Alibre Atom 3D.

I can use V bits I have all angles

Then set this up as a V carving using the desired V tool entered as shown at:

https://carbide3d.com/hub/courses/create/tool-library/

which is suited to cutting brass as shown at:

https://carbide3d.com/hub/courses/create/toolpaths/

until you arrive at the desired 3D simulation

using appropriate feeds and speeds:

Thank you
you think i can get it done perfectly with less time
because I was using Artcam 2018 but it is taking more than 10-12 hours

you think is good idea to use Alibre Atom 3D.? would that make working much easier or what is the advantage of using such software ?

The advantage of using Alibre Atom 3D is that it is a “real”/full-fledged 3D CAM program which allows making arbitrary shapes using arbitrary tooling, no need to match angles/tooling and so forth.
