so, I have power to everything, but when I turned the power on should the machine move to another location on its own or do I need to be running the program to manually move it… Also the white box that came with the Spindle blinks 1799 repeadily Must I connect to the program for the spindle to initialize ?

One big confidence-builder is to just use the Quick Draw marker holder to plot out some things on paper — it’s low-risk, but you can get as intricate as your patience allows — even do tool changes for different colours/marker widths.
