So last night, I was able to initialize the machine. Today it seems like it wasn’t ever initialized and Z just goes up a little then down and then gives error saying limit wasn’t found. It doesn’t even get close to the limit switch. Is there away to factory rest and just start over? It was very late and I must have done something wrong when I was trying to set the bit setter.

Carbide Motion 517 uses a new system for setting Travel Dimensions which is potentially confusing: [image] Pressing the Load Defaults button takes one to a window which allows one to select first machine size: [image] and then Z-axis type: [image] after which selection the Travel Dimensions for the selections made are entered into the dialog and will be preserved if one clicks “Ok” (and of course that change discarded if one selects “Cancel”).
