Importing a 3D file from Shapr3D to Carbide Create Pro

I’m working on a 3D project in Shapr3D and need some help exporting and setting it up properly in Carbide Create Pro, to mill with my Shapeoko 5 Pro. I would like to see how CCP shows it in 3D once imported properly.

The design is essentially a half dome, but only the top most portion, like the top part of a globe. Here are the specs:

Workpiece size: 12” x 12” x 2” thick

Shape: Dome-shaped top that is at 1” thick on the outer edges and gradually rises to 2” thick at the center of the board.

Goal: I want to mill this curved surface…and the next project will be the reverse, where it’s milling a bowl shape, custom designed in Shapr3D.

This shape can be easily made in Carbide Create Pro w/o a 3rd party program:

Apply

Show 3D

If you make it in some 3rd party program and then export as an STL and then import:

it should be much the same.
