Is the Center correct

Good morning, spending some time with my machine to get to know it better (about a month in so far). Decided to read the measurements shown on screen when I jog to the quick positions (right front, left front, center, etc…CM says map locations). Any, on my extreme left and right (or X coordinates) the readings are -20.157 and +1195.843 but when I go to center it says 587.843. Shouldn’t it be 608. -20 means we went past zero so it’s 1195 PLUS 20 giving us 1215ish (yes I’m dropping the decimals). It looks like the program is doing the straight math and not taking into consideration the negative value since 587 and change twice is 1175 and change. So when my machine thinks it is centered left and right it’s actually off by about 30 mm (not that it matters to me but still an odd learning). Any help appreciated.

Where center for Rapid Position is set is a matter of convention.

My recommendation is to actually draw up the structure of your machine relative to it:

Note that that may need to be adjusted if the homing switch position changes, or with seasonal variations in temperature (calculating how much a 5 ft. span of aluminum changes in size is left as an exercise for the reader), or if a future version of Carbide Motion changes these positions.

That’s where I was headed when I noticed the anomaly. Thanks as always @WillAdams
