Do you have a link for the belts and pully you purchased.

Currently waiting on a quote from KHK gears for the rack and pinion.
That will probably be tested on a scrap piece of extrusion, linear rail, and Nema23 motor mockup and testing it with an indicator before committing to do it on the Shapeoko.

KHK got back today and said a 1/4" bore in the gear requires wire EDM for some reason 
Interesting and odd. 1/4" isn’t that small for a lathe boring bar and a reamer?
Wonder if it would just be better to get a Nema23 motor with 8mm shaft since they seem to be readily available?
KHK is wanting $255 to get three of their stock tapered pinions modified with a shortened hub and two M4 set screws. Only two week lead time.
