I will note that when I did a similar box, I put a thin groove in:

CNC Box (Finger) Joint Box

It’s always a bit nerve-wracking cutting boxes apart, but the groove helps a lot, and isn’t too much wider than the saw kerf: [WIN_20201130_10_15_33_Pro]

and it made cutting the lid off far easier.
