Looking for feedback - XXL t-track filler strip design

I’ve got to rip off the t-track kit anyway to elevate my baseboard to meet the new Z+ height, so looking to improve the t-track filler strip functions. Critique this T-Track filler strip design to help me iterate before I waste my time making it.

Goals include:

• Repeatable 3x to make all 3 pieces needed for the XXL
• Consistent hole spacing between all 3 pieces along X axis
  – Hole spacing on X is 2.682075, Y is 2"
  – I may change Y to match X so fixures are axis agnostic
• Fully millable surface for flattening operations
• Balance of nuts to non-nuts

I’ll include space for the corner and fence kit as well in the finished design…

Thoughts? Too many nuts?

I did something along those lines — my strips were narrower since I added additional T-tracks, and I didn’t do the threaded inserts — instead I angled my strips so that they could be lifted by fillers at need:

Decided I wanted a slightly more efficient usage and mounting of filler strips, so this is what I came up with: the existing strips were cut off a bit shy of the working area at a 45 degree angle, and additional holes added to secure them just short of where the angle meets the baseplate underneath the wasteboard strips were then cut at a 45 degree angle so as to fit snugly underneath at the back, and at the front to fit, and a hole with a countersink to accommodate a nylon bolt was cut in the…

Which are the nuts and non nuts?

Why the offset diamond grid instead of cartesian regular?

What about spaces for jig / work locating dowel pins machined once the panels are bolted down?

Staggered would allow 1” increments for clamping while using fewer holes.

The 6 small holes on edges are for securing down to sub-base. With everything else for inserts.

Interesting idea on jigs - I’ll consider that…

I almost never use my threaded inserts. I use dowels for almost every job, even if just for initial alignment. The main use for the holes in my wasteboard is to line up my tape strips.
