In the middle of a project the machine losses connectivity and stops why dose this happen. All conections are good the Bluetooth is off on the computer
Usually if this arises after a long period of successful usage it is caused by worn carbon brushes — that said, an “air test” is the first diagnostic test to try, then look into what it reveals, usually grounding — other possibilities are USB cable being jostled (I like to arrange them so that they are secured and coiled at the ends w/ tension pushing the connector into the port).
Just to be thorough, because Will Adams is probably correct. I had an early problem of the job stopping and it was due to my screen saver and time-out settings. It’s now set to forever, or never whichever way you think of it. -) It may actually be the CNC end of the cable as well. Not sure which OS you are using but Windows Event Viewer can be set to monitor the USB ports so you might get a clue there.
Things are starting to warm up. So static is a culprit when you get stoppages. However as @WillAdams said brushes on routers can also cause the problem. On Makita/C3D routers the brushes are quite long but only about half of them are usable. The reason is the internal wire inside the spring that attaches to the brushes is short. When it reaches its maximum reach it makes the brushes not make good contact and you get noise which creates disconnects. C3D sent an extra set of brushes with its routers. So if in doubt change them and see. If you still get disconnects there are a lot of posts her on the forum about grounding everything. Static is a killer. If you are getting shocked around the house bet on static. Even if you are not being shocked around the house moving bit, moving air make for static and some materials lke acrylic are static magnets.
Thanks i will try looking at that
My PC’s USB port is a bit loose. I have had the same issue when the cable get’s jostled.
It seemed like a static issue, but it was the cable. connection to the PC.
This is the only thing that worked for me. Now I have had no disconnects since October. I think these CNC machines should be sold like this.
Yes thanks
So not o ly have to turn off Bluetooth but also the screen sleep
