Good morning and Happy Mothers Day to whom it applies. I was wondering if anyone has ever made an arc for like a track inside a bread box. I tried using a circle and adding nodes but I can’t get the exact uniformity that I need. Any suggestions?
If you need to round some specific thing to be like to an arc/circle portion, then use the Corner Tool:
OK
It is as circular as a Bézier curve allows
If that doesn’t work for what you are working on, please upload the file and we will try to look into this with you.
If you wish to do this sort of thing manually, that was shown in:
Okay, roughly lining this up, the easiest thing to do is to just draw two nested circles:
Something like:
The problem is that the circles need straight segments:
for things to line up.
Probably the easiest way to draw that shape would be to draw a rectangle from the center out:
Then round it off:
Then, duplicate the surrounding rectangle and delete the unwanted geometry:
select everything except one rectangle:
and use Trim Vectors to remove what is not wanted:
until one arrives at:
OK
OK
Then use Join Vectors to close:
Yes
If desired, things maybe further rounded using either the Corner Tool as described above, or “Fillet All”:
OK
