Making first cut

Is there a step by step guide to making first cut. I have downloaded all software and have loaded a file I created in Carbide Create into Carbide Motion. This where I’m stumped. Do I hit RUN at this point? If so I have done this multiple times and nothing happens.

Does your Carbide Create file have toolpaths in it which result in the desired appearance under 3D preview?
