Ok, the good news is that I got the machine to work, for the X-limit switch I used a temporary solution that works for now (Thanks Brandon!). The Y-limit switch was a bit more difficult, the screw solution didn’t work, the switch wouldn’t react. I used a leftover belt fastener and a spacer to fix it, adjusted the height of the Y switch so the piece of metal would just fit above the switch without touching it and that did the job. (I still wonder why the screw option didn’t work with me, anyone?)
Support is sending me a new cable so my fix should be permanent soon (I hope). Many thanks to @Julien for his patience and for helping me out! It’s highly appreciated!
