I would like to run a separate pause button which i can mount right next to my machine. I have read there is a place to connect this on control board but can’t find any detailed instructions. My questions are… Should switch be + or -? If - will any ground work or does it have to come from control board? If + what voltage and where to pull this from? And is the switch used just a momentary switch?
Check out these threads for lots of information. The switch is momentary, NO (Normally Open)…
The other day @gmack asked about documenting the specifics of the Feedhold signal, and while there are already many posts on that topic, they are a bit scattered in various threads, so I figured I would try and tell the full Feedhold story here in case anyone is interested (and since I have been playing with this, so I might as well dump my notes)
Let me steal a pic from another thread to illustrate where Feedhold signal pins are on a v2.4 controller:

the corresponding female connect…
The Z Plus upgrade (and HDZ 4.0) come with inductive homing switches that plug into an included PCB Riser Board that plugs into the conroller. But the Riser Board blocks the existing Feed Hold pins:

The riser board has a 3 pin connector labeled “F”. Is that Feed Hold? If so, which 2 of the 3 pins would be used?
