Reminder to loosen v-wheels while squaring

Hello,

New shapeoko owner, had tried to square it when I got it, but got it “square enough” and came back to it this weekend.

Had the exact same symptom as this post:

X-axis Not Square

My Shapeoko xxl’s x axis is not perpendicular to the y axis rails. The x axis rail wanders to the right. In other words, when I move the x axis to the front or back there is a gap between the axis and the front plate on one side. The waste board and front plate is square. To resolve this, I was thinking of putting shivs into the attachment points on the x axis. I am wondering if I missed some mechanism to square the machine better, or if there is a better/ more elegant solution. Thanks.

Where no matter what I did with the board bolts, and y rail bolts loosened,
one side of the x-z rail did not sit flush when the other side was flush. I loosened all of the x-z bolts to try and shim things, and at very last, loosened the v-wheels.

Aaaaannnnddd then everything could be adjusted to be snug and perfect. No shimming required.

Just thought I would throw that out there for any new shapeokoans.
