My bed was stuck on super hard (I was unable to make it budge after removing all screws). I heard some early models (like mine) had loctite or some other locking compound holding the bed on (maybe on the registration pins?).
Any idea if it’s possible to remove the table on these? Am I likely to knock something out of whack so the machine is no longer square if I go at it too hard? I assume I have to turn the machine on its side and hammer from the other side?

I’ve heard that too. I use a heat gun and little force and mine popped off easy enough.
Difficult to remove is a good reason to use the new, official one. Yes, you lose a little Z and you’re metric, but for some, there is no mess.

I don’t remember were I saw it but there a post or two on the forums about how people with the difficult to remove bed got it off.
I was one of those. I played a heat gun over the bed, as per your suggestion, for about ten minutes, and the bed wiggled off the dowel pins with some careful leverage.
