I just went with the wired version and it works great. All the functions as you mention and will ramp speed when holding down selected button. The wireless should function the same.
Alright that’s clear. Only thing I don’t understand yet; the number 4 on the keypad seems to have a double function… it sets the speed to Fast but it also functions to move the X to the left? (Same with number 2 for 0.25mm speed and also moving Y to the front).
Not really — the keys which are used for arrows when not in numlock mode, 2, 4, 6, 8, may be used to jog the machine since they are functioning as directional arrow inputs/cursor keys.
That looks cool. How is the feedback of the buttons? Is the difference between clicking once to move the Z axis 1mm lower feel sufficiently different to holding down the button to keep on moving?

I didn’t consider the use of numlock to be an option, as I haven’t used that feature for probably 20 years…

I’ve been using this flexible silicon keypad which has proven to be a great complement to the tablet I use to run CM and CC in the shop. With the full keyboard, I’m not tied to the tablet’s touchscreen to type names of layers, files, etc. And, the keypad on the right acts as a controller like the ones above.
The sealed (waterproof) keyboard is also dustproof…so no stuck or dead keys - and it’s USB wired, so it’s reliable and no batteries to change. While the keys don’t “click”, there is substantial feedback that makes typing easy. Works great. And it’s $19.99
As for the hold down…the hold down works with the silicon keyboard I mentioned above as well. It’s smoother with the fastest setting, but I believe that’s a function of CM or the motors, not the keypad.
@WillAdams Am I correct that the key commands still do not let you choose “Zero All?” It seems like they are only useful for jogging and not things like rapid position, zeroing or switching between Run / Jog tabs. Also, if you are on the rapid position screen the jog keys are disabled.
