An admin teased rastering back in Jan for the V8 beta. I just downloaded the latest/greatest and don’t see raster toolpaths. Still not available? Any plans for it soon?

That sucks. I haven’t purchased Pro because I have no need for 3D carving. It’s a tough pill to swallow to spend that much just for a rastering toolpath.
Such toolpaths are easily made manually:

They aren’t so easily made when doing a cleanup at the bottom of a vcarve, especially if the pocket is more complex than a simple rectangle. Possible? Yes. Quick and Easy? No. Manually doing it for every item I make that has a vcarve/pocket? No thanks.
Relying on small stepovers in a pocket or vcarve tool path leaves unsightly patterns on the bottom that can be difficult to sand. A raster will help eliminate that.
I don’t understand the decision to hide a basic 2D tool path behind the paid 3D package when all other 2D tool paths are not. Well, besides the obvious reason due to it being so highly requested.
So now the question is - is it worth the cost of pro just for rastering, or look at other options that offer more capabilities for the money for my needs besides 3D (which I have no need for). I’ve got some research to do.
