Can anyone tell me of a place in the UK where I can buy decent quality toolbits for our Shapeoko 3 CNC? Online retailers seem to consist almost exclusively of Amazon. I’m looking for 60° and 90° V bits and a surfacing bit. I live in Scotland (Carnoustie) in case anyone knows of anywhere local although this is unlikely. An online supplier would be fine. I’m too new at CNC use to feel confident that I could find something decent on Amazon and need a few pointers.
A while back we discussed this:
and here is the list from the wiki since it is now off-line:

My go to supplier in the UK is Rennie Tools. I have more than a few of their end mills etc. Good bits, reasonable price, swift delivery and long lasting.
They are well worth a look in my opinion.
Thanks for the pointer. I’ve had a quick look and like what I see. Rennie Tools certainly deserves a closer look on my part.
Thanks Will. I notice that you include a reference to Rennie Tools which was also recommended by another member. Some useful websites in your reply.
When I saw the price of boxes of 10 <5mm drills at Rennie I finally stopped using blunt small drills until they broke. I’ve used a few of their compression bits and regular up / downcut and they’re pretty decent commodity bits at fair prices.
I’ve also used APT, they’re quick and cheap with some really nice DLC aluminium cutters.
Cutwel sometimes has good prices on more expensive ‘name’ cutters.
Another vote for Rennie Tools. The owner Johnny Rennie is a good guy to deal with and the business has been in the family since 1929. Like @LiamN, I can vouch for the cobalt jobbers drill bits. Fantastic value!
Carbide bits in many shapes and sizes at fair prices. Usually accompanied by feeds and speeds information too. Also provides a good range of DLC coated bits for aluminium. Any questions and Johnny will happily answer them. The cobalt jobber drill bits are easily the best drill bits I have used on hardened steel.
