Touch Screen Bug Again

There seems to be an issue when using the UI via a touch screen, When moving, movement is triggered by pressing a button but a second move is triggered when the press is released. This results in two movements for each “click”. It appears as though the event is being triggered on Mouse Down and Mouse Up

Carbide, I can understand you being selective about responding to enhancements, but bugs should get some kind of priority.

please fix, I have now damaged cutters due to this.

Could a Carbide representative please respond?

Is there a different path I should take for bug reporting?

Add me to the list of people who have experienced this. I have a jog pendant, so I don’t use the screen buttons much at all. But I did see this behavior.

If you’ve got this problem, post here:

  • What OS are you running?
  • If it’s a laptop, which one?
  • If it’s a standalone touch monitor, which one?

Sorry… I’ve observed it on 3 systems:

Two of them run a Fusion 5 Windows 10 tablet. (SPro and HDM at work).

One runs a mini Desktop. Also windows 10 and has a ASUS VT229H 21.5" Monitor. (S5Pro at home)

Microsoft Surface Go 2, one with Win10 and the other with Win11.

I can hook up the XPS13 2-in-1 if you need another data point.

Fusion 5 Win 10 for me as well.

What pendant are you using?

The newly released C3D one.

See:

Carbide Motion 653. Does go “two” increments for each touch. Checked via the 0.1x and the 0.1y, and each time in either direction, it give two, 0.1 movements in either direction that is chosen.

Operating on a 3XXL

Using Windows 11, All in One HP machine that has a touch screen

I have seen this for some time when using my touch screen. I often use a MS compatible wireless number pad to move the axes and do not see this when using the keypad. I’m currently not near my machine (winter in Florida) but believe I am using the most recent CM software (September 2025) on a micro PC with Windows 11 (Beelink).

Any movement on this?

That’s the next fix on the list for CM.
