This is the bottom-bottom frame. Its almost done. Need to design and cut the feet/wheel mounting plates, weld them on, then finish the caps on one rail.
Whew. I am exhausted. Took most of the day, but the bottom frame is welded up. It’s not easy to pick up anymore… filled with granite.
Updated the model to match as-built so far.
Lower Frame Assembly is almost done. Had to tweak a few things to make it all fit together as a system. Trimmed the expanded steel floor to account for welds. Also, broke it into two parts so I can cut it out on my plasma cnc.
I am still iffy on the hopper. But, I’m going to cut it next after I get the two frame parts together.
more progress today. turns out that my plasma cutter will not do continuous arc so I had to cut the mesh the old way.
Progress today. I have been waiting a long time to get that HDM on top of the base frame. After inspecting the frame and setup I am going to do an alternate hopper design. I want to retain the vertical work holding surface so options are limited. But…we shall see. I would like to make room for a few bit drawers on the front of the enclosure cabinet.
Rethinking the chip hopper design. This is what I want. Now, I have to make it a water tight hopper.
Added a 20amp recep and made a 10’ extension cord. And I unpacked the chiller. I was worried because I read someone received a 220v chiller. Thankfully mine is 120v so all good.
I cut most of the hopper panels and the Warthog enclosure today. My Crossfire Pro table is not big enough for the rear panel, so I’ll have my buddy with the 6x12 industrial laser do it.
Nice work! I like seeing you take the time to build the enclosure exactly how you want it.
