That said, those feeds and speeds are perfectly in line with the guideline I had collected (from the community here) for vcarving wood. So the focus should be on the mechanical aspects I guess.
I lowered the feed and plunge rates along with the depth pass significantly and slowly worked my way up. The setting in the screen capture above cut what i believe to be perfect corners in both edge/face grain and end grain tests which I attached. while the cuts does take a bit longer to complete I am happy with these result and I will now try an actual inlay believing I will get the results I am looking for,
