The x axis is stuck on the right side of machine. The motor works and will move gantry to the left 1 cm from home and then I can move it back to home. The limit switch is lit up red, when I unplug it, I still cannot move more the 1 cm. I have cleaned the dust as best as I could, by vacuuming followed by blowing air. Visual inspection shows nothing. I see on videos people moving the gantry by hand, but mine will not move.
What is my next troubleshooting step?
New machine? Or one which has been used a long while?
Are the linear rails and blocks clean and well-oiled? DACs and ball-screw clean and in good condition?

I had the same issue two days ago on a new SP5.1. I ended up (with the machine fully powered down) using a spreader clamp and forcing the x-axis to the left past the stoppage. Once I did that, it moved “easily” by hand when off, and has been working fine since.
@PaPaRoe My SP5P is about 3 months old. I disassembled most of the gantry, found no physical damage, so I forced the gantry off of the right side. Now everything seems to be working fine. Thanks for your help.
I stand corrected. The SP5P worked great for 2 or 3 hours, then the X axis froze about 3/4 off the way to the left rail. I once again freed it up with a clamp, went into settings and all the limits were lighting up at the proper times. I closed CM, re-opened it and reloaded my program. The X axis once again froze at the exact same place as mentioned above. Does anyone have an idea as to why, or how to troubleshoot this?
3 months old? Why not use your warranty and the support team? Forcing movement sure seems destructive to me. Good luck!
Have you checked the wiring harness & connectors? A strained connector can cause intermittent problems. Make sure they are solid & secured & protected from any straining/stresses.
