HI there, I have scoured Carbide forum topics and could not find the carbide cutters data required by Fusion 360. The download button in tool selection in Fusion does not bring Carbide as a brand (nor does Nomad tools). I am using the default settings proposed by Fusion for a given category of cutter (e.g. 0.25" flat). But apparently those data are noticeably below what they should be in terms of feedrate and spindle speed, which increase machining time unnecessarily. Has anyone been confronted to this?

If you must have tool presets, you can use a similar tool from another tool mfg’s tool data in Fusion 360. I’ve downloaded and installed Harvey’s and Amana’s tool tables for use in my copy of Fusion 360.

See:
Because I teach on the Shapeoko and Fusion in a public setting, I am very interested in having the Carbide 3D tools ready to import.
Considering Fusion stores these as JSON, it makes sense to me to use Github to work towards standardizing Carbide 3D’s tool library.
I quickly put together a repository based on Winston’s library that can serve as a starting point. If someone from Carbide 3D would like to be the maintainer of the repo, that would be ideal, but I’ll try to keep up with it until th…
Okay. It took me a minute to figure out how to share my Fusion tool library. I had to upload it to the 360 Cloud drive (because the forum here won’t let you share .json or .tools files). Hopefully this link works; it is to the .json tool file.
