I’m sure this is user error, but I need some help. I’ve downloaded some projects, unzipped them into folders. But, when I open them, Carbide Create opens, but it’s blank. But, others work. So, Like I said, I’m sure it’s me but what am I missing?

I am trying to download the Marine Corps Eagle Globe and Anchor (USMC Catchall) from the organization tab on CutRocket but it is not loading into CarbideMotion would you be able to fix this?

Files from prior versions will not load 3D components in V8. There were too many changes to the internal format for the new capabilities of 3D, and there was no good way to map existing 3D components into V8.
so v7 files will need to be converted so as to use them in v8. Fortunately, Carbide Create has a feature for exporting the 3D model as a height/depth map pixel image:

As noted in the links above, get v7 from:
https://carbide3d.com/downloads
and use it for v7 files as shown step-by-step in those links.
If that still doesn’t work, post the link to a project which will not open in v7 and we will work out how to handle it.
