Hand held controller

Can someone direct me to a source to find a hand held controller compatible to my computer and CNC

After a lot of different attempts I like the Rii mini keyboard the best.

1,2,3,4 - Control the jog speed
Top Right Arrow Pad - X and Y jog
PgUp/PgDn - Z jog

There are a couple of options:

  • use a numeric keypad:

  • use a game controller:
  • use a miniature keyboard/trackpad as @SLCJedi suggested

  • use a gamepad or other keyboard w/ keyboard remapping:

I use this one: NineKeyBoard CNC Edition – TechKeys

But have run into buffering issues with CM on a PI. It seems to overload CM so there are a lot of pauses.

Do you have a submarine to control?

This one is pretty nice: Excellent addition to the cnc machine: Control Pendant for Carbide 3D CNC

I bought a 12 key USB remote keypad & programmed it for the arrow, page up/down & number keys.
It works pretty good.

I also tried a wifi app on my phone, but couldn’t get it to work very well.
