I fail to convert a DXF to a 3d file

I try to make these

(the designer and maker Paul Joshua Schneider from Munich -he turns them on a lathe- agreed that I can make those on a CNC), so I made a DXF-file after the contour of the queen.
But I fail to get a 3d-file from it.
queen.dxf (114.1 KB)

Could one of you show me for dummies how?

My understanding is it may be that a future version of Carbide Create Pro will be able to do this sort of thing:

Until features for this are put in place, you will need a 3D CAD tool such as:

or a 3D programming tool such as OpenSCAD, or a great deal of patience using Carbide Create:

Didn’t we do this already?

In my downloads folder I have:

and:

which it was made from.

I added my dxf to the post before. I talked once to the designer, he agreed that I make them on a CNC, and I promised I would get his judgment about the pieces before I even consider them done.

I certainly do not remember.

See:

@Tod1d showed a technique for doing the queen in Carbide Create which was quite clever.

OMG! That far ago already. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:  I probably could have used the search function better. Thank you all anyway!
