I’d like to be able to measure the distance between two points regardless of angle and show the angle that they are. The software that I used when working gave this feature to me. Would be helpful especially when dealing with files from other people.
The Measure tool in CC (look like a ruler) does that today:
EDIT - You need t have nothing selected for the Ruler tool to be available.
I would like the ability to type a measurement and angle to form a line.
The mouse does not provide the stability to drag and exact angle and length.
This probably not exactly what your looking for but it works for me.
Using a square for reference I drew a polyline near it. Adjust its length as needed. In this case, because it’s a horizontal line, its width.
Using Move, move the line to where you want to anchor the pivot point. I want the pivot point on the left so I left the left lower corner selected on the Anchor selector. If I want the pivot point on the right I would select the right lower position. Take note of the X axis pivot point value, 7.500.
With the line still selected, click the Rotate tool and enter that X value in the X field. Enter the angle you want and click Done.
I’m moving this over to Feature Requests.
That said, see:
and
and note that if you need this sort of drawing capability you will probably want a CAD tool such as Alibre Atom 3D:
