Old CC files wont open anymore

none of my files from CC will open after upgrading carbide create how can i restore

Carbide Create v7 is available to download. V7 can open older files and then save them in v7 and CC v8 can open them. This has been documented for some time. The only exception is v7 3d projects do not import properly into v8. But regular 2d programs import fine from v7 to v8 if you open them in v7 and save them in v7 format. V8 changed the format of the files significantly and is not backward compatible with all versions just v7.

How to convert a v7 3D file to v8

There were too many changes to the internal format for the new capabilities of 3D, and there was no good way to map existing 3D components into V8. so v7 files will need to be converted so as to use them in v8.
