Is there an application that will convert older carbide create files into newer formats that allow them to be opened in the current version of the software? I now see other posts on the topic. Is there a plan to provide a converter in the future?

The conversion app is CC V7. For files older than V7, open & save in V7.
For 3D models, save them off as a raster image & import into V8.

I am trying to download the Marine Corps Eagle Globe and Anchor (USMC Catchall) from the organization tab on CutRocket but it is not loading into CarbideMotion would you be able to fix this?

Files from prior versions will not load 3D components in V8. There were too many changes to the internal format for the new capabilities of 3D, and there was no good way to map existing 3D components into V8.
so v7 files will need to be converted so as to use them in v8. Fortunately, Carbide Create has a feature for exporting the 3D model as a height/depth map pixel image:
