Using a picture to create a part

I have this handle that I make using a scroll saw. The picture that I have of it shows tons of flaws, such as cuts inside and outside of the actual handle. How do I clean this up using Carbide Create (free)? And how do I get the handle to have straight lines?

Using free programs on the internet and MS paint- copy your tool on a copy maching makeing a Black and white image, export as a jpeg image. Now import into carbide the image, trace with the carbide tool getting a cut line for carbide to generate a tool path. using carbide, you can fix bumps and goofs and curves easly, then carve the design desired to the shape and sized needed.
