Went Ferrite Crazy Today and other ramblings

Bought a assortment of Ferrite Beads for $9 and went crazy applying them to the CNC today. Put one on each limit switch, IoT relay, Router and Zero Probe.

Ran my precision pattern test on the HDZ and saw it cutting 0.3mm deeper than requested. After some head scratching I measured the Carbide3D zero probe and found it 24.7mm thick instead of the 25mm I entered into UGS. There’s my 0.3mm error. Initially I thought “Lead screws can’t stretch can they?” LOL

There’s no way that’s within tolerance. I’d contact support.

Why all the ferrite? Were you having EMI issues?

A few EMI hangs last fall but thought I’d overkill it while it was apart. It only cost $9 and I have extras.

It looks like this person had the same issue in this this thread. Looks like identical measurement for how far out of tolerance it was too.
