I watched a video where someone was buiding a 1 piece cabinet door and matching an existing profile/countour in vcarve. is there anyway to do this in CC or is it just figure it out your self kinda thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYm7b95B1Yo shows the way it was done in vcarve pro.
I would like to just stick with CC if this options is available or coming in the future. I do not have the CCpro yet and would like to know before I spend the money and it not be there.
You can certainly do this in CC Pro. You have to calculate the angle of the panel (17.75°)
Set up the workpiece, 19 x 26 x 0.75(assumed)
Create 5 rectangles, (1)14.5 x 21.5, (2)13.5 x 20.5, (3)11 x 18, (4)13.75 x 20.75 (3D machining boundary), (5)14.23 x 21.23 (3D roughing boundary)
I put the last 2 on a different layer with a green color so I know they are just boundaries & not model geometry.
Create the model
For the largest rectangle, create a Flat, Height: 0.35", Add component
For the (2)13.5 x 20.5 rectangle create a Angled, 17.75°, Limit height: 0.4", Add component
