First, we have a pixel image with some dimensions: [F-86 base scan with measurements] We import that into Carbide Create: [image] using “Set Background”: [image] and adjust for size: [image] [image] It’s then a matter of drawing and toolpaths and so forth (we will try to do it w/o Create Pro, but will also show that). I am cutting out a P-51 Mustang for a 2x4 contest. I modeled the wings and tail but when cut they are basically flat. Can anyone give me direction to get a more 3d height on the wings. Model Rocket Fin Placement Jig

For model rocketry enthusiasts. Attached is an exported pdf of a set of jigs used to align/glue fins on model rocket tubes. Drawn in Vectric, exported to svg for use in Create or other gcode generating software. Stinson Reliant Model Jig

I’ve been working on this model for quite some time, it’s a Stinson Reliant in brass. Have built two full fuselages so far…haven’t been happy with the results…so this is #3. I thought about posting this as a reply to one of the other threads, like a Weekend Project or the Bamboo Clamps, but I didn’t want to derail any of those discussions. This is probably a community ‘Feature Request’ more than anything. @ApolloCrowe, when posting projects, tutorials, accessories, or mods, would it be possible to include either a technical drawing or a file that could be used in other packages (STEP, dxf, dwg, etc.)? I understand fully that this is not something Carbide Create can…

Sailboat 3D Model

I have scoured the interwebs looking for a 3D model of a small sailboat. Does anyone have one or know where I can purchase one. My mother-in-law wants a plaque with a sailboat on it and I really need to please my wife by making her one. You all know the saying if the wife isnt happy, no one is happy. I hope to fix that.
