What did you cut on your Shapeoko/ Nomad today?

Father in law is visiting, saw one of these & really liked it. So I whipped one up…

Go Lions !!! Clean cut.
I was thinking it was solid clear sheet, then I see it’s a cuts through.
The amount of air space seems to allow it to adapt to the surroundings.

Super cool, @Tod1d and absolutely—Go Lions! :football:

Pretty simple really.

No masking was used. After the carve I gave them a light sand followed by two coats of cellulose sander sealer, followed by another light sand and then spray painted. Once dry, the paint was sanded off the high spots and a coat of Lieberon finishing oil was applied.

Thanks Tyler. The next set is for a Matrix fan, with this I might try a dark stain before sanding it back. I will carry out a trial.

Brass indexing wheel for an electronics pick and place feeder. Really amazed at how good the 4x4 S5 Pro and the carbide router does at fine detail. My S3 couldn’t hold these kinds of tolerances.

Hey! I’ve seen that STL and toyed with using it. Great place for it.

Certainly a wildly popular STL. I don’t think it’s been life sized before…

@GJM - Don’t miss this one. The tiling is dialed, no 1/8" offset as it was back in 2023. The Operator has dealt with his Errors. :joy:

I love all of the projects that show up here. The creativity is fantastic.

I saw Tod1d’s post and thought I should share a little Lions ornament I made for my son-in-law. It’s just a couple of layers of 1/8th basswood ply and some paint.

I just made a lighted acrylic sign for a friend. We fly micro drones all winter in his detached garage, which he calls his haunted whoop house. This is my first time doing a lighted acrylic sign, and it turned out nice. I’ll be doing more.

It will be a plaque for donors

As a Lions fan for over 65 years I’m liking all the love they’re getting here!

Just finished an obligatory Last Super carve. My longest carve to date. Had everything planned out for a traditional rectangle, but at the last minute I had to change everything up to fit a curved piece of wood from and old drop leaf table, cause the Mrs. liked the shape.
